The Teatro Pérez Galdós includes a dance show in its programme

The Teatro Pérez Galdós Canary Islands’ Foundation has managed to include a dance show in the current season’s programme. This is a presentation of the Stars of the Stuttgart Ballet, with Diana Martínez, native of Gran Canaria at the helm, are to perform on the following 30 April at 20:30 hours.
Diana Martínez was a solo performer of the Stuttgart Ballet from 1996 to 2007. On this occasion she will return to the stage with a solo created for this gala where her colleagues from the Stuttgart Ballet have their debut performance. All the members of this dance company stand out due to their exquisite technique and striking aesthetics.
Pieces of legendary choreographies such as “The Taming of the Shrew” or “Swan Lake”, both from the genius “maestro of maestros” John Cranko and, Kazimir´s colours, by Mauro Bigonzetti, make up part of the programme of this gala where the exuberance of this varied classical and modern repertoire is taken on by the Stuttgart Ballet, one of the most prestigious ballet companies worldwide.
Arcadi Volodos
This unique performance by the Stuttgart Ballet in the Teatro Pérez Galdós is to take place only one day after another great event of the current season, the recital by the renowned pianist Arcadi Volodos. He is considered as the Russian piano genius, and is to interpret pieces by Albéniz, Liszt and Schumann. This performance is on 29th April, likewise at 20:30 hours.
Arcadi Volodos has grown to become one of the most outstanding pianists of the present day. Whether his interpretations are in a recital, as a soloist or in a studio, they are always characterised by his masterly technique and the depth and eloquence of his musical perception.
